Our Tuesday evening Support Group meets weekly by Zoom from 18.30 to 20.30.
We launched this, online-only, Peer-facilitated Support Group in June 2021 to reach out to people who, for reasons of mobility, social anxiety, travel difficulties, working hours or other commitments such as caring responsibilities etc., are unable to attend our Wednesday afternoon in-person Peer Support Group at Lovell Park Hub.
Participation is £ FREE.
We offer our Peer Support Groups to all adults in the Leeds Metropolitan District who are taking responsibility for their mental health and learning how to better manage it day to day.
The Group’s trained Facilitators are also Digital Champions supported by 100% Digital Leeds so we can help get you up and running on Zoom.
If you don’t have access to a device (smartphone, tablet, personal computer) with an internet connectionm we may be able to help with a free loan of an internet connected tablet. This will give you the opportunity to gain experience of online support in a video meeting and decide whether or not to acquire your own means of continuing to engage with the online world
To participate you must to be able to join by Zoom from a closed room where you are alone, so you and the other Support Group participants can speak freely without being seen or overheard.
You don’t have to attend every week but we expect you will commit to attend most weeks. Peer Support Group places are scarce and we believe this is the only online, open-ended Peer-facilitated Support Group open to all adults at Leeds.
